Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:

: s4 R0 J; Y9 e1 Q% o' I• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
. q- U! w* f3 p5 k: T6 ^( j
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

2 S. k$ Y% B! ^' I, |• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.. F* A# X. y2 v+ ^

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations./ w2 B. ~! V, N" G0 l+ ^4 o

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

. \$ j5 {& X g$ c- }, t• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.: Z% |8 I4 v$ o7 E

Job Qualifications
% H6 y. G |. d7 n• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

# O; Y7 H8 Z: l0 P$ q1 c- y• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
- k0 Q) U$ G8 z A5 h( V
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.
 }( M9 b5 n% Y- a$ ?0 M' {5 e
• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
) \+ E. [6 n1 W+ L
• Travel within the assigned region.

* W" i7 D' L- q• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
