Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:

. [' z' o4 Z. u$ w6 s ^4 w• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
; M N% c1 S# g j
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

# Q/ O2 w r3 g• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.! R; L8 R+ C0 q o4 V/ V

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

& T4 U$ i2 D6 u( v• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.4 `/ O$ J( F5 q7 N; D

1 w F9 L6 H% {' e* q• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
3 u$ d# P! d. r9 k" _; Q9 Y
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

3 l# F9 `* j6 r) `+ _. Y% K5 @• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

( E. E) k& t; x$ y# I• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.5 a( k% z2 q1 {

• Travel within the assigned region.

; c3 s6 k# x6 `1 i• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
