like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups 8 W, V* b- i0 @+ c, V
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
: n9 Q% W. P2 G$ e: Qattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
5 m' V; z# F" B( uinformation that will make your transition to the University community 0 h B; y9 m$ c% q" Y6 p. Z
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

in location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can 0 R8 p+ E$ F# _
be found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB.; R4 u# ?9 _2 C' q% N

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds , T0 K% H: Y U; s
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 3 m- \: h) I6 Y, _ Q1 u; E q8 M# u
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
3 R' x0 y3 n0 f l& Kof directional information.

: m! i# a7 P4 F ^Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
+ R1 ^$ @% B& G" H: ~( w; zactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 3 Y5 r5 F" \+ Z( V
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday q! ?$ E D. ?9 ^ k
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 1 `$ x1 N* M. t$ `. K! I" q( U" k

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
* C( q) V; c" ISeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
& F$ f9 C/ e- D& U; h/ T3 Qand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

" Q3 m6 o- w; `: q, K' V+ ?Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 1 I7 n6 }( S6 [7 C# h/ ?( z: d; U
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
+ D9 l6 g5 s) _ y* oyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
# Z3 x& V% D* j% T! nONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process & J' @" o6 t1 e
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
1 ^$ t, W7 s) g6 w1 O$ ]0 wof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus / s3 C0 v0 [" Q& w
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 4 {, m. [ h. M5 H$ }
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
3 R" ]8 t9 I" c4 y/ ?6 mbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the ! w+ z' \$ @" L& b9 `
two days of Orientation).. d) R: \$ g, J0 ]# w( M4 {5 z
