Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By : q l) q, P) W5 S$ X
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of . n- G4 U7 K9 ]- D- }
information that will make your transition to the University community & N* D! N* B2 K! i

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 8 a( g1 g& q: s& \2 K
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically # L- z. J+ u+ w8 w. q& \
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
; l" w' S# ^2 D, eof directional information.

4 g5 w5 [, H: _6 m l5 OBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 3 L _1 |* @9 e5 H/ b* o% q
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend % m5 M# x0 ?/ v& E3 H5 @
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
3 [8 X( T+ B* jevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in ; _% ~9 @2 ]5 z- Y
Hawrelak Park.

September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
* D+ V0 r# W% \+ ^! b, {7 Aand then continue to meet with for the entire year." \3 m: k3 @1 q6 J) @+ E3 C' X1 q

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
# m3 B5 ^8 k6 ]4 }to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
9 M* V& V; h& A! g1 {your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 8 [& H8 n9 q5 U* r
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
~7 v* s7 V6 s/ T. o& [# yyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
6 C7 o: A4 h- R# t; kof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus # S" X9 a: n/ C' A
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
! \/ B1 |1 |: a7 U+ }2 W8 `Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
- d- Z% a' b) Pbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
+ W' H+ r+ k, Etwo days of Orientation).
