Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

: y" `& I3 J$ gto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
- h9 U: z- g2 j8 [ c; u( I) ^of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
4 ^! ~4 d/ T* z$ t0 Olook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
4 f# l- L* T( aof directional information.

2 e4 Q) \% h# q+ u: o1 T% v5 S7 y1 TBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
& w3 u2 A* D* h3 [activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend . v2 S/ n8 G+ k9 X! \1 P
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
. x1 i& ]5 ?8 L4 I* H+ ?evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
# ^8 L' y$ @ [3 V5 J8 z! d9 jHawrelak Park. L+ I( ]* W! D/ L9 S. {
$ L% e& ^( d7 n3 l: N: zYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on : M; e W6 e$ L" h7 h( |) f2 q" R
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
) `; |1 b/ a% P% w9 u |and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

3 j' j' R/ R% s: V% H% o+ bBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
7 B4 O4 u/ ?" [8 y+ lto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
! I. J8 W" i V/ e! eyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
) Y- x& k- P C& {0 ^ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
# j& g c3 z; I m5 Tyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ! W! G" T! A& c0 s
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 8 |4 d, k3 h$ D& a' Z/ | b
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 7 Y. \: Y; q/ [- |% Z
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and - y0 U9 D* W8 f8 ^% ^" j
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 1 N# o" d! V( w
two days of Orientation).
