Job Description:         

JOB FUNCTIONS:

E0 x7 R) L# ^/ V: ?; S' t• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

. x/ G. M: G1 O4 c, g+ D8 |• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

* k& X) Z/ x' d- {9 V+ J• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

" [2 I0 B: J) E  R. V• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

- c/ y5 ?, B8 v) n4 w! y1 V• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

3 {6 R) p- v3 v5 h• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

! ^$ \- d' C% B, Y. N' F- K• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

/ ~  o, S1 {' w- J• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

6 G5 ~. R, J& r6 {( w• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

1 {& |. |' h1 i; O5 m( P5 d• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

1 z% f4 X7 ^6 H$ O• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

6 W* K  n4 M: m. i-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.

3 m: N; @2 L0 K" I) V) HThe right fit for the team would be someone who enjoys hunting and fishing on the weekend. If the individual fits the manager will hire fulltime.
