4 h+ W, X5 y1 s  k• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

+ ]0 `5 ]+ p" z3 a+ x• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

# L5 O  S& v9 N• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

. L! |3 a. H0 w, V5 z9 w• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

/ Q8 Z& j5 I& @' R+ D; X' h• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

' i: D# m1 t0 g• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

# Y9 `; {. M. S5 T# M• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

% ?* g+ z$ P! K6 l( h8 ~• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

- T  V$ x2 I$ E/ o' O$ a• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

• Ability to travel and work at various sites as required.

U+ t8 B+ @9 r; G( a. p  E/ n  ?-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.
