买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and- m/ b" X8 r) m) I
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。
