买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
' c7 F9 a+ V, ?3 U5 H, A+ S" @9 W1 D•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and8 I0 @9 Y" s3 G+ N+ x( T6 o% O% d
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
4 ~; u5 s8 Q5 [; L: a7 f7 E$ V6 y6 Z* _So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A qualifying home must be registered in your and/or your spouse's or common-law partner's name in accordance with the applicable land registration system, and must be located in Canada. It includes existing homes and homes under construction.

The following are considered qualifying homes:

    condominium units; and

6 R, Q6 G- N) u4 u- u% g6 uA share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.

在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750. / U) E/ P! W  U# H; |* O( q& L9 I

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.) v* y& e* w' R- O2 p) r

7 f4 X  p, n' R: P5 E( jWhen more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
