8 l' N; o0 f3 T% A6 H6 PExcept as otherwise permitted under this Act, a person shall
3 c+ K9 `( h; {6 z) |not do any of the following:! T8 a) x( I' ?
(a) drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor

(b) have a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor- t6 I, N, t. g! S7 w" G

(c) where a person is the registered owner of a motor vehicle,

(ii) to have the motor vehicle on a highway,

to a person not entitled to have that financial

(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is

Subsection (1)(a) and (b) do not apply to a person to whom a! \- Q! t4 |8 B4 d* E' |) A# U! [

Insurance Act

outside Alberta.% S/ Y+ Z0 }- y, r# R
(4)+ {; w& l W3 u2 s C) j# x- E
A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection5 o/ h5 n. |+ E V4 r1 L1 q1 R
(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,' \% n& ~0 |3 ]
(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500* G3 O( F0 T+ @. Y) e7 J
and not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to0 f( y$ A' L2 p" }0 D9 ^
imprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not
" J; y6 X- O7 J( B5 zmore than 6 months

Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
