Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. g/ u* i( A' b9 x

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. 8 Q. F* W2 u- i$ T- _

“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board. ; x6 n7 g/ G6 F( s9 m Y- u
