We have few machines from china and used here in Canada after some modifications done. I believe most appliances in China can be used here too in Canada if you check the followings:

! F" C# A& i" G2 {3 U, p1. check the neutral wire to see if it is bonded to appliance frame or metal part by using mega meter or check the internal wiring.8 S' g( l* l7 ~1 _' F2 s% x

Normal the neutral wire to the appliance used in China is not connected the ground or bonded to the metal frame. anyway have to check out., o& T/ `% W: a" C6 c# `
+ H; M2 N) G% {& F/ T: \+ `+ Y2. Check the full load A for the size of the wire used, it may need to change out the wire and replace plug.

7 E4 P& t) h& Q0 j$ A, ^3 Voltage in China is 220V. Here is two phase supposed of 240V (most time less than 230V). Less than 10% is not a big issue. but still have to check out the size and insulation of the wire.# `9 w+ g( |& U' J
( z2 ^4 `" O7 k: i3 d) u4.Frequency in china is 50Hz and here is 60Hz, if there is a motor inside, the efficiency is not so great any more and could be overheated. Normally it is ok if it has proper over load protection device. |
