Beef with Broccoli! g1 {5 M' b$ {. a- T6 I5 {

Ingredients:
- J+ @) f+ k. J0 Z. N& E1 y3/4 lb (375 g) lean beef, sliced thinly into bite-sized pieces

Marinade for Beef: 8 F. N$ o* ~3 a$ e3 V+ l1 c

1/3 tsp (1.5 mL) salt
" I8 v% n0 Z+ j/ Q1 Tbsp (15 mL) cooking wine

2 Tbsp water

1 1/2 Tbsp (20 mL) oil

! a+ Q" K) W1 A1 t1 1/2 lb (750 g) broccoli, flowerets removed, slice on the diagonal into thin slices
+ h: b+ I% `- d9 ]6 A1 cup (250 mL) cooking oil7 q6 ]+ o2 n, I7 ]2 }- A9 |
2 1/2 Tbsp (30 mL) oyster sauce
3 C9 m2 w+ U. g+ m2 Tbsp (25 mL) light soy sauce1 s* e3 T) E1 i- w6 y1 I8 h
3/4 Tbsp (10 mL) dark soy sauce
) l H5 Q! i0 g7 {, z1 }& |6 E1 Tbsp (15 mL) sugar
2 R7 X: p' r; U* P+ Ma few drops of sesame oil
" G7 ~7 p7 K, j8 ]) v8 j; O2 cloves garlic, crushed+ W& u0 x; \! D0 C. _
1/2 cup (125 mL) chicken broth( y$ S; Z, k! q, d/ ]" G" x H/ {
2 Tbsp cornstarch (if desired)# i/ X* U7 G) O9 ?/ e

Directions:* |: a6 D" w1 Z( R' U% B
Slice beef and mix together marinade ingredients. Add marinade to beef and marinate for thirty minutes. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil to beef, mix in thoroughly, and marinate beef for another thirty minutes. While beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables.
. g( V# z* h$ `5 [* b# C5 \Heat wok and add 1 cup of oil. When oil is ready, add beef and stir-fry until it is nearly cooked. Remove beef and set aside on a plate. Drain the wok and wipe clean with a paper towel.+ u2 Z$ S' c9 C5 h4 X9 Z" J
Add 1/2 cup water to wok. Bring the water to a boil and add the broccoli. Cover and cook until broccoli is cooked through. Drain the wok.
8 b. R2 W! t9 y$ ^Heat wok and add oil (about 2 tablespoons). Add the garlic and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Add vegetables and beef and mix together. Make a well in the middle of the wok and add the sauce ingredients. Add cornstarch, stirring to thicken. Mix sauce together with other ingredients. Serve hot.
