We are currently seeking detail oriented person based in Edmonton to fill the role of Junior Accountant.

POSITION: Junior Accountant7 X3 a. ~2 i; Y+ i( o- o
d5 f) z! a7 \- E& d5 @6 r# q# vDUTIES:5 L S1 p& E5 F! x1 X, N
+ I: }$ S; k) E0 k" @0 ~& d: C; Q• Answering to the Company Controller, the candidate will assist with invoicing, payables, cash receipts and disbursements, account reconciliation, and G/L entries.
& _3 j% J6 x) G' a" r• Candidate will also be responsible for filing, verifying vendor invoices, and various reporting tasks as required.! e1 g( v ^* }3 \3 K% d& U
• Candidate will communicate between various departments, including sales, logistics and production to ensure that operations are running as cost-effectively as possible8 _; |5 j0 g6 O7 F- v$ X) e
• Various administrative and order processing duties as required.

• Minimum 1-year of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable/Payable role
* s, z. B6 g0 Z& S, [+ U• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field of study
. A6 e% [/ P4 v0 D5 N5 e• Aggressive self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills5 M# [% A" D3 ^
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong grasp of numbers
; w! q0 [% i! M% g$ Y• Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, data entry)* V+ W: @: u. E$ h8 t9 a3 e
