The fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city. ' |9 {" y# K% w
Edmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m.
) p; l0 a6 w g8 Q. M% AThe fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
