Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
1 V5 f* o" Y3 iModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
2 g1 _% T( i. F8 {! R6 R2 ^3 @Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
# d8 Q+ H6 s- {. R& J: RKeep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef
2 |6 P8 {1 _9 BExcellent record of kitchen management
2 |8 [- ?' x8 _4 N; A9 KAbility to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
8 e0 M( n) z0 u) G4 b4 i" SKeep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
