gutter是必须的吗

中国的建筑很少有gutter，雨水自然从屋檐下来，加拿大的房子gutter经常堵，不过是为了雨水收集到一个方向而已。可是落叶，尘土经常会积累

well, sidings are the boards either plastic or wood or any other materials overlapping together,  rain drops are not supposed to seep in  and cause mold unless the sidings lost its original integrity. same as long as the foundation is solid, it will be able to block the rain water
