The Ministry of Children's Services provides financial assistance to eligible lower-income families using:

Licensed day care centres

7 }& c( b+ B# O( iApproved family day homes
Licensed out-of-school care centres
: U4 S: [* b5 j2 G: Z- h- l$ d+ CLicensed pre-schools and
7 ]$ H& D5 b$ Y2 }7 s6 G! fApproved early childhood development programs
9 c( {, w5 J& X; g, MMaximum subsidy rates vary by program type and the age of child attending child care.

  x# a9 s4 @& X! B, S' GYou can apply for a subsidy if:
/ U$ x4 N& Z" S) \' k( F" r
You or your spouse/partner, or the child receiving care are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and live in Alberta.
! n' ?8 f2 |( SYou or your spouse/partner are an Alberta resident.
. @/ E3 S; i1 u/ |* _; P+ dYour children are 12 years of age or younger and are not yet attending Grade 7.
You and your spouse/partner are currently working, attending school, looking for work or have special needs
OR
You or your spouse/partner stay-at-home and have your child(ren) enrolled in a licensed pre-school or approved early childhood development program.

低收入有一个数目。今天早晨听 cbc ，两个女士都有不错的工作，也可以领。我觉着我们对政府定义的低收入还把握不准。

查了一下： net income of less than $42,255 per year
: `8 x* ], C& d" O, {# [4 K  W  m) Q
a person earns wages of $1,000, and $300 in deductions are taken from his paycheck. His gross income is $1,000 and his net income is $700.

根据这个定义，应该不少人可以属于低收入。

42255/12 = 3518
' E+ p/ k1 u. R  w6 W6 Q如果夫妻存入银行的月工资少于这个数目，就属于低工资。
