亚省医生投票赞成提高费用的草案

: i) E3 u) n3 A& Z) r }7 i6 d( m! C亚省医疗协会主席称,该草案会使亚省医生在大概一年半后首次提高医疗费用,以此达到在经济繁荣的亚省留住医生的目的,但是这不一定代表对于病人的医疗水平会随之提高。

4 E4 U) U/ \) C- I: p& BEDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association.

"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday.

"But to say that any fiscal agreement is going to improve that care would be making a huge assumption."
