1984: Triple Five Corporation, developer of West Edmonton Mall, buys property from Woodward's and spends $25 million on renovations.$ `/ R( i( S6 j" Z5 W8 S
" p) ?* D4 Z0 o8 f2000: New owner Dundee Developments spends $30 million on facelift. Safeway moves to the mall's south end, and Zellers enlarges its store. Renovation separates the anchors in an effort to draw traffic past a new ice rink and food court. Slogan "New Cool" used to attract shoppers.

2003: Sandalwood Management buys mall and starts adding stand-alone stores on "pad locations."# d' |" h; A% f* Z
; y% f1 J* P8 \, Q" E6 UMARCH 15, 2007: First Capital Realty Inc. pays $70 million for Westmount Shopping Centre and plans to demolish part of the shopping centre between Zellers and Shoppers Drug Mart and build a $21-million Home Depot.
