Job Description : Description of Accountability

3 P, T# @6 c7 U7 M/ PAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
. ]( P" U4 j) n- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. ! V% s. E) w2 M) S6 W2 B7 n
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. - v1 t9 Q4 o- a' w- k
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. % Y+ E* o# k: p6 `! t8 { w
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ) l. k0 v) S$ Q, h5 J
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). [$ W) |7 \6 H; Z# s$ {
- Managing shift expense budgets. & E9 @8 A- r# Y( l1 V

Experience and Education Requirements
" c4 x) u- d6 a( e/ R; _; G3 ?; [8 ^
' G% }8 C6 n8 h8 u- Previous supervisory experience 1 p% i6 H5 `3 [4 N. `
- Strong leadership skills U R. |- [) |" z1 q
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma $ W% {, u! k2 y3 x# s5 N# t
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
# T7 L$ t; M, B1 G) v7 p- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
, `- U: ]4 z$ }3 c* Q- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
