5 j1 l# v! {. T. sAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:# ?9 u) e7 i: c( H9 q
% @6 @5 W; m* S; l1 s) M- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. & R* @. ]( X w" e2 U& M% r
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. , c: _, X& w9 L. G1 k& b
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
5 Z0 x' [& `, q( o, y: w* g! L( I- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. - V+ A7 N6 k9 e0 x: }* m
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ' @0 o1 T5 [* C! ?4 x
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
- ?4 W" ~6 S+ J- Managing shift expense budgets.

# b% L. P( M8 T$ hExperience and Education Requirements9 v& g$ e8 Z" \. }
4 S* J( _% C j2 Y# L- d. `/ S- Previous supervisory experience
" d9 D( R# i6 }1 y( G- Strong leadership skills
4 F; M& E2 m7 W2 q- p# P9 n- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
/ P) X( G! q& q! x4 ]7 [' y6 }- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
- \; t% F$ k4 G) `' G/ E. [- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
5 L1 p" V$ ~6 N. V5 T- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
