Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

# b; [8 ?1 d0 e5 ~ X: e- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 0 {$ f- l" Y# a9 X4 B& k# k
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
9 a' Z' _6 {& f8 Q2 _9 e- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 1 ]9 ]% s3 B/ |2 f9 S9 C$ F
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
3 k! `, N, G- S& [& m8 p- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
6 F# r, F: C" T* K c3 c( n; j- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
/ ~, e% ^" b- n$ r/ `- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements
; j4 A" m6 V9 n" y* v' i1 G
5 j( E8 f# [2 u- u6 i5 j4 i- Previous supervisory experience
o$ W% Q* E/ g# e, A" h8 q8 H% o- Strong leadership skills
: J0 M) ]- F1 Z; \- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 3 C: \+ N& j3 ~8 M7 u8 L6 u% T
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills . I& T' l: b: u1 s' l z
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations - o$ g$ T- _0 Q$ p+ c) P8 X
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.! x k7 \9 i# ?+ R- g9 c ~
