Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
5 W& V! L+ Q$ ~/ n2 B1 O. B% z
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
0 l( ^) Z7 o5 t3 d. U/ \% D
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
+ n' J  P, {% x- y4 X9 M, f" ~) a
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

$ {4 [# s. K& ]. Z· Secure loads safely
) }& f) A3 ~/ D% X' V9 g. X
· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
2 M9 e3 P- x# t# f5 kQualifications and Training Requirements

$ d/ N2 J- ^0 q2 M$ q9 p· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

  g% L* O- W" Z  [0 I5 j: W· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

! T9 n/ M# w5 p# A( ^! A· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation
