Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

" X# c* N6 y) |Key Job Duties

/ ~  z( _( r, n8 |· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

8 a/ K' l6 C+ p' h& f· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
. K! z3 X6 F" i& g* d+ v/ c
( T4 W1 [6 ^6 b5 I; H- t· Operate manual and automatic shifts

! I" D% c) j* K0 H: l# `. y· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
2 D8 K4 ^4 b4 a. r( K3 N& @. R: [3 N8 Z
· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

! C" i8 Y+ ]6 U/ g1 T! M1 [· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
. J# `1 \8 u; _" i& T
' g) ~; ?2 D! e- W% P( B* F  c* I· Load securement certification

! V/ Q  s" c& B0 S( w; z· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

% k, Y) K  y" y/ e- K5 `· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

5 S% q( F' Q3 b; J7 ], }· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

3 z% b9 c4 Y( F· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

- t9 [+ V; O0 U. o' Q, H9 _0 L· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
