CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
* O; U, \3 R- S( D* E5 r# J
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

7 [8 [, O6 b- f9 B" m( u5 o* g+ a· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

* u: j7 l# y6 d. e0 k7 _: u% i· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

+ H% }) X# k$ ^- T1 f' W9 v: T4 RQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
* z4 a) u6 M- d8 i* R% G( ]  [" [
# A& `. e( ~. h  D4 \- O4 O3 y% C· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

- u9 f$ F7 L- W. v! P+ v, o· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

% C2 w9 N" b* v& U& u8 A& R9 ~· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
