Job Summary: ^% d0 b$ u t) \: ^$ Q
The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

8 H; R% ?$ k4 g1 f0 |0 E4 L( xMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials% w2 m5 O% x2 L+ y' J/ Y: G8 N# g
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
( v' j6 r2 k s- V$ o4 wLoads and unloads non-ferrous material+ B: Y# L: g7 Q2 i
Must be able to work safely at all times, N- [0 i' o) G K8 _
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
; J; _- g& T3 ^1 b# J9 [# [Performs routine housekeeping.
) ~3 Q$ i, U% \/ tObserves and reports any safety issues$ ?' `2 k* |) c* n* E# }

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting; \% Y8 a, {: g% D' I/ g# r8 n
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
. O+ i. o" Z+ o" W1 fHigh school diploma (Or GED)" i" r" v) ^4 T
Well-articulated and assertive
& o- k1 V# R7 u, j2 Z$ M6 T, @5 uAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization, N/ p+ ]6 C2 l6 s* J
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos" i4 J! Y+ ]) V$ t" s
Ability to write simple correspondence% r f( ]. ]% }) N
