The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

' S9 R/ k4 |" Q! L% Z, ^# NMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials" l: k) d( O5 C, I. c
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
$ f) i) r$ H7 }. ALoads and unloads non-ferrous material
$ G+ H7 e9 j& T7 Y) HMust be able to work safely at all times' I* e* q) @7 ?$ ]. C0 P
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently% d) `1 `2 H$ T; |7 d0 ?
Performs routine housekeeping.+ h7 c0 V' Z- b1 \1 ~
Observes and reports any safety issues

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset7 T9 t& N" `7 O- i3 ~ Q$ @( Q7 |
Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
+ |4 R9 C4 W4 A0 v9 BKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
' k v, I" }$ p! `1 R# [High school diploma (Or GED)
; d7 f* l! m; M' O9 Q3 b; P" SWell-articulated and assertive
6 T+ Y/ x* o. e; S& tAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
