Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.+ w5 y2 e! d! Y# l. b' H$ |

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials" B% B7 r! R7 H* m! R% a- u! q" ]
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
! ?% w. n M0 A- pLoads and unloads non-ferrous material; F; N6 m9 Z3 q1 q9 t
Must be able to work safely at all times
; a) ~/ t; \6 a9 I2 z: lBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
9 f! ~0 ?3 _: V0 DPerforms routine housekeeping.
& ~3 }1 L2 {6 V# @% q* ZObserves and reports any safety issues6 G2 r' ]* K, O/ j
Other duties may be assigned

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting$ N+ {9 l; V9 \. @) L
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing2 u1 }* V0 M, _
High school diploma (Or GED)
$ l9 K8 \8 j3 D) F$ J* k0 M7 T; VWell-articulated and assertive% W/ C$ l; e# a# ?2 z0 z
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization& e0 [! ~* g! C
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
