Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

" J7 \' Z6 ~! oDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
) {( X/ o2 _1 ^  a; @/ {: ffor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
: u1 ^4 \5 l0 D: ~% b5 zinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

& v6 K$ I4 b/ z2 X) UQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
2 |9 f* j$ Q, K: k$ O! p) aChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
& G* n1 _3 c% G1 u0 Xanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
4 M- j2 Q( D& V8 e* ]separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
" Q# @, j$ n' Q) A3 oThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
% X- E  j2 N/ w, v" m: L4 _( vand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
; a, y7 q% q5 n2 yhope to work in these areas.
