The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
3 r: `9 [) [/ C+ U( Rinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
, A3 K- `; m0 S/ }compounds by chromatography.

/ r/ c* P) x2 g; \! I9 k, SQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
2 i2 R" \2 P9 ~/ Z" x( I6 EChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
; Z, F0 B6 N4 c3 jand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
