  y4 }+ `5 L4 P! X3 M5 o9 Z( Z' A, W, ZDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
# {, v; @( x0 g. |. s; H9 o+ ktechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
$ K& X$ c# ]; xinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
5 F+ }/ j5 a9 s/ o7 z2 rcompounds by chromatography.

# n" O$ d& Y6 C1 m4 ^Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
$ j2 |" S$ R# J$ A' u4 e% [0 M: mseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
# J; S7 f* o5 N, MThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
, X( G! r& M7 oand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
