3 X8 ~% `7 k8 f% j* a/ b# s6 QHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
  g$ J# R4 P4 L( _3 b) n. `1 F- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
7 J4 X# c  L; @% N  e' n' Pthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
" F* f5 M; J$ [school year starts.

1 h0 q; n  {- N; x/ zDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
2 ~! N" ], x9 ^5 b; Y8 Q" aCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
# O9 E; `2 U, \4 b( ]$ ztheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
- M1 R0 v4 |* h5 }# p7 Iassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
* L# F+ }, k- `. n) m6 fvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
+ }) r5 p' D1 f  Iexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
9 f" a3 g+ w8 a* m; ]9 Wsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
4 Y, M. d( m( F3 E$ vCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
# m% v3 K: s1 U( m& Y8 d% QExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
0 B1 m9 B# e8 z) dexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
