3 }# n' R+ P3 N6 p3 A% bSalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
  X& f8 R% m: q& Cthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
. f; _& D# B  fCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
$ u0 H. A) W5 Q9 mparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
# D6 ]8 i, d* G- G: Itheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
) A/ F4 ]& j4 Xvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
6 ]( B$ {4 q+ c) Kexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
7 C) k* E' {3 `0 m) O$ |1 M0 Zexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
5 E( w5 t9 L: Ksuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
/ w5 O" O7 N7 z; @, xpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
2 ~' a4 G! z! L: a0 G/ d7 r) G& Mfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
- U. A* B& m8 o9 W7 y3 \. q  Wdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
; m5 d8 }4 A7 @4 d6 c) O! V1 qExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
