) A4 d. d) E1 q) ^2 P, n% q11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

& _, S& l+ }- u( D' z) s7 w# tDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
" R6 |7 s% }' ]; b1 D3 \6 C- W9 H1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
, ~5 }# J* W" O6 X* A/ s
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
. r/ D6 A  w# z! w1 {accordance with Students' Union policies.
2 K6 I, j3 V$ G1 J# u& Y
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
- ^* L( w: Y7 e. D- xincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
) q7 q& Y% Q8 X# u2 Fand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
" ^8 ?" ?4 Q9 m1 ?/ K$ k: d5 `
7 k. e5 t/ `( G, n- O5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
* r- i& t1 ?6 m' w0 }' xintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

. z' n' z( w, E0 @# K- M4 l7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


) i" q- Q% `: J8 M  e1 H: S/ LQUALIFICATIONS;
/ x' i; j1 Z% C8 [/ C, J( s1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
3 A% G- {/ n+ u" U( d) o2 Foperation.
) F. L" t0 \+ M8 s9 w
/ X! X3 h3 o0 A4 Z3 |3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
5 P# M0 T0 I5 H" J; ]" Cpolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
