JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
" s1 r% U; P/ l) B8 CBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
/ e" J6 D, ^4 _* H5 Z" korders.
) ]8 W: ^7 S. ^) k6 e2 j( P
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
1 G! ?" }; B2 d3 |high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
3 G6 Y8 G: @; J$ d5 l" W
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

$ ]: N' X. e% [7 ^4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
" _3 W# O& p# y* L4 ?/ @. P; qand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
3 i1 M% R& h) P3 i- Naction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
( z  @1 _) U/ h3 k2 T$ I( ]4 y1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

* Y: T1 o: u% M0 J1 C: G  K2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

6 [6 n' k  f4 r5 j+ l9 W. a9 M7 k3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
" ]/ \9 A" q( T( x$ D/ c6 Z  Jpolicy.

" K  s$ I7 a' W& i- u4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
- c% ?7 X" H8 \( t% d. vcard transactions.

' B/ a" @0 d! K8 H/ x( n5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
7 U1 `1 q+ @/ \1 vprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
