Thursdays

: w6 b9 z! T; |) lJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
5 T/ l$ K+ ^. c4 H' OBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
* G7 G$ F# e& V6 T, S: k' E0 k# Norders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

$ Z; \* f- ?$ K; c! k3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
% r2 v% w7 I) g6 ]- Btotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
$ @) q# D" ?! V  q& T6 e4 r5 cand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
: I) U( b6 s/ M; Daction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
9 G9 L# ?/ [. hintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
+ L  G8 v6 Y( c! w: }8 P: O' n6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
5 B& u- y' G# tAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
; H. v& E0 F; ZManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
$ i$ C2 A4 X, f, f% N  b1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
" N$ J0 R; X2 d- W+ U9 [0 N# H
$ Z0 u; W7 m. J* z8 a8 L8 q: N2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
- N  G5 D/ j0 z+ [5 roperation.
3 ]) g3 E! Q" M% [' m( m" v
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

  V: u6 C; ~' g  ~7 m& ]4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
  y. @/ T2 v+ r- ]+ g: |/ h& x
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position
