JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the
# g: D; ]( A9 q) m! V' @; o8 XOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
, Q' w! q5 ^6 y% w2 e( I* Hprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, % Y& x' E& S0 q3 l% W
cleanliness and order in the bar. k( F8 [( N/ q1 P. s
; D( N$ q [6 y- z( X1 s9 h$ _DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- \4 {& _4 A/ |0 O
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and
3 w& A$ ~' {1 n2 nbeverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
, y5 q y3 S ^$ W- N) ^bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
' O( i0 F! o0 f: e& r. @0 weach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular

seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in ( L/ ]# ^% M3 m+ x+ z3 S
storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol
4 O" ^/ @$ m* Q# i1 Pproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.5 W/ f7 w& ~5 ^5 S, t! ?1 m
; @) l$ V3 Y) D v* N' D3 Z/ |6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close
9 J0 {! p/ }+ _monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a
8 k$ u6 J& E6 rhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 2 x3 p& ~8 h0 V- a9 v

accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
