KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.        Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.  
2.        Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.  
1 q' ]+ l6 X: S3 b3.        Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.

: e8 X. T( G* T7 H  j! u* e* _. |% \PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

) ]( K- E( s/ _. a6 l  [! [1.        MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.  
8 {6 i+ h/ g* p8 L6 n; P2.        Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
( e' M% y; B6 L2 C# c% L3.        Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.  
' Q" R/ w4 r9 Q% u# D$ l1 E4.        Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
5.        Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.  
3 D) S9 }" H% I7 i. m+ X6.        Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
7.        Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
8.        Able to travel frequently within and outside of China.
