2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing " X) C: Y. g/ m1 w
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

7) To facilitate classroom speaking arrangements during an election/

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a 9 ?( C- ], X I3 k" v3 V) X$ i

from the first working day after nominations close until the last day . P+ h' J; Q. \& J
of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.+ U& H8 Y7 ^: l7 F$ ~
5 v C1 p! K2 |- k11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

QUALIFICATIONS:: `( z* p8 [. x7 y) }* s4 v; J

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course # v$ x5 ^- h, k% T9 c
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
) F \3 m' I1 q3 e# Y" [+ rUnion member.) g7 `) w: E q1 U0 r+ D* o
! V6 l9 U/ \; u( S2) Must have some experience in student elections.: v1 k4 F- }7 W5 `
6 l& ?( t; W" f/ u3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
9 e5 u. e$ C7 l) b4 Aany of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ( i) Y |$ b D$ U6 q; z+ U
with the Students' Union.
