6 s) Z- L. `9 j' {/ q# p5 j8 p9 FAlberta Agriculture, Food And Rural Development , Red Deer - We are looking to hire a wage Meat Inspector to able to work independently and establish good working relationships providing inspection services at provincial abattoirs including pre-op, ante and postmortem examination. Duties include implementing departmental food safety programs, supervision of plant sanitation, verification of written programs and all related duties as outlined in the Meat Inspection Act and Regulations. This work requires an understanding of animal diseases, sanitation, food safety programs, verification procedures and ability to enforce the provincial statues administered by Regulatory Services Branch. You will report to the regional supervisor located in Airdrie.

Qualifications: A high school diploma with several years of related experience in the Federal Meat Inspection system or a graduate of a recognized provincial meat inspection program. A valid driver's license is required and you must be willing to travel.
