Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and$ n, x: V$ p! `: j
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
3 p8 f6 t: X' A8 X( Vprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
2 r+ |/ q3 [9 Z }: O1 R5 o5 CChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the8 n$ w% P) N4 i$ \9 v
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.; b8 _( c5 ^3 B+ x' Z
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
- M2 j b3 e' L: B: ~9 }visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the& J* I8 P+ j: I4 N
recyclables.
* N5 m1 u5 ]: |; C# x# ^' j6 qFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be7 C* o( v9 u4 L: R5 @# A h$ m
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
/ `3 L2 c; [1 E7 z# N* WHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
. f" j y" J& @' ]them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
# E4 n% U* C3 Y5 Z, Khours are part of this crew’s duties.& f! v7 O" a& a+ ?( O7 r
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the. s8 ^# q0 z5 Y. O
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide" O, o7 {- T) ? m
programs to visitors to the festival. v h1 r: S* e# u+ Y3 s7 [( O4 Z2 }
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for9 v* S5 P p3 R1 k+ e
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.' p7 m& s; W* Q% \; y; P
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed1 g! H5 P/ w; Q. }4 P' j! j0 J0 t2 x
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
f* R+ E/ S3 @* p. m, |6 ]festival.
/ x3 W- j1 V& F# t4 y) fSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is5 N1 t" F8 S) k. `' |3 ]) D
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
9 [' j) U4 V' L8 _- xare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
0 c; {/ P. i$ _9 N$ `3 JStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training; Z. J& s o5 b2 i& x! p
and/or understanding of back stage procedures./ {) S/ p! o2 b, F) j/ b4 M
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be) {$ v. V) v/ F( @! e8 ~9 T
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
; R; u: h Y$ k3 n7 g- bairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
) v( h% O* u$ t6 Nstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
