Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the7 i% K+ F6 Q! t$ P
festival.
: ~! P8 u9 @" u$ ]Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
2 {, A; U% p! q0 l. Rwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft. J |4 v: O" o
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
. a) w; \- y9 J- Q8 l+ {Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the" x* n: ?+ G( c4 F- c
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come./ g- p0 `) }) g6 Z8 U) T$ m
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for! D4 X! t, d, j; `
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the2 _7 c. N8 r4 ?7 r, C
recyclables.1 S3 R) k/ p- n
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
0 Y& {4 @. q! d5 N# l! B! b% |. }3 opart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.+ h4 D" W& s" f% f' y
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing7 U+ C! O# Q8 T8 F! _. a3 |4 s2 D
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
4 R! n8 f% ]7 y$ E, J7 Fhours are part of this crew’s duties.
8 r# i( n5 N& ^7 CInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
9 l6 i! [ q7 ^4 ~festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide! Z* J$ a% k% V: j
programs to visitors to the festival.6 @4 n7 X# m7 i0 I
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
$ z" j- t- f, jeveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
+ F9 n) F+ H9 n% c# `7 ?! f, }Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed$ C4 _! G4 F0 A
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the E1 ^* `' M P% _
festival.% U* H) Z# p% N' g
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is$ C q* k2 \2 P. `" v
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you/ G$ h+ z0 G" G; g
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.. B8 N/ X. N% p: K; @
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training- t. v0 Q& }- L7 u ]
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
2 Q0 z3 @, G# J% z' R r; qTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
) Q; h% { `+ q4 brequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
) I/ X2 d! z( k5 D) [ `! C2 Qairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival1 P* k+ R9 d: A: F& X
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
