This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.

FUNCTIONS:
8 a; C! s( D" V( L3 D0 _• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.. s$ Z" ?$ h$ f, o4 ~
• Collect proper fare, issue transfers., G' O j+ b A2 }1 G: O% J, v
• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.
4 d* J9 `8 a' ]2 m* m$ L• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

' Y" a: H" r$ F; x* L6 o3 z; C3 \• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations.

• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.

• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.( m' T+ S* x2 ^0 t! G
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.
* i0 R$ l" W; @• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) A' x# _0 ?8 w6 k; J3 n
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. 6 K# `2 {5 Q8 W# c1 g7 h
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill
, r- t$ u5 x; p& o+ Q! bvideo-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training)./ ? ~2 N+ Z* n4 k- }2 E
• Successful completion of the ETS Training Program.

9 Q9 E9 G& j! T* XVarious hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week
