Position: Driver - Furniture Donation & Moving Program / Program Area: Family Violence Prevention Centre / Compensation: $15/hr, 40 hour week (Mon-Fri).

Context: Edmonton John Howard Society's Family Violence Prevention Centre provides a Furniture Moving Program. This program assists people leaving abusive relationships with donated furniture/moving services. The Driver is responsible for delivering furniture, picking up donations/moving individuals. The Driver will also supervise swampers provided by Alberta Job Corp. 7 y6 E2 C5 E: A

Qualifications/Skills: Valid Class 5 Operators license & Drivers Abstract (no convictions, less than 3 demerit points); 3 years driving experience; Previous supervision experience an asset; Criminal Records Check/Child Welfare Record Check; Able to follow direction (both written/spoken); work independently; Must be reliable & dependable.

H3 E" \/ ^% \0 O" CResponsibilities/Tasks: Drive truck/complete deliveries, moves & donation pick-ups; Liaise with Program Administrator & Alberta Job Corp regarding operations of program/crew supervision; Follow local, municipal & highway safety regulations and traffic laws; Work cooperatively with team to ensure quality service; Relate in a professional and positive manner with donors and clients.
