我是学环境处理的，没有任何工作经验。我现在一家Engineering Consulting company工作，工作快２个月了，有一个很大的心得就是以前在学校写成的改了很多很多次的简历太差了，因为工作的东西和学校里学的东西一点都不一样。如果我是manager的话，我也不会面试把简历写的这么差的人。不过想写一份很优秀的简历又很难，因为没有的经验就是没有，也不能胡编乱造呀。所以我3月底来到Edmonton,两个月才找到专业工作。我找工作分了几个阶段，第一个阶段就是上网找，第二阶段在图书馆和报纸上找，第三阶段就是打Cold Call。

I3 t" P在第一个阶段，我上了很多找工作的网站，经常上的就是workpolis, 除了按工作分类找，我还把所有和环境有关系的公司列了一个单子，然后专门去这些公司的网站上看他们有没有招人，很多时候我发现在一些公司招人的信息并没有在workpolis上列出来。在这个阶段我没有得到一个interview,甚至很少有什么回信，除了觉得我不够资格的。第二个阶段，我去市中心的placement center图书馆查报纸和杂志，然后再去相关公司的网站查招人信息。其实在找工作的过程中，如果你有朋友在什么公司工作或者有net working的话，那是最快也最有效的方法。我在第一个星期有一个面试，就是一个朋友介绍的，虽然没成功，因为他们要招一个Immediate level的人，但是还是感受到了朋友介绍的好处。这样一个月过去了以后，还是没有什么好消息，我就开始着急了，开始打cold call。我按照在第一个和第二个阶段收集到的公司清单打电话过去，一般都是前台接电话，所以你一定要想好理由可以找到你想去的那个部门的经理，哪怕电话留言或者Email地址都可以。就这样我打了大概５０个cold call，有了２个面试，和３个电话面试，最后在第三次面试的时候我被录用了！现在还经常会有我打过cold call的公司要我面试，所以我总结的经验就是Cold call真的是特别有用。% p% E6 G" J( d9 R& h# p.
