I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:3 w& }/ W$ I% @9 ~

"We have requested background information from other government 6 _: C- I0 L% m0 Foffices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing1 K( r* z. m' [4 K# k8 J
of your application will be complete. We cannot respond to requests for O5 t" u9 ^& G+ r3 O
the status of your application before this information is received." 9 C2 J% h6 B& F+ ~; G 6 J5 Z: P/ W, {" ^* FDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!
