About background check

.....(nothing from then)

' G4 j, ]5 D( c* Z) y% QI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

1 K5 B  Z# U8 h8 \( {1 q  {9 z6 p, n4 k"We have requested background information from other government
7 y# h  z' c* zoffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
of your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
the status of your application before this information is received."

8 I3 R4 n' Q' v$ `  d8 @$ J' zDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
