Neighbours said about 100 teens were at a house in southeast Calgary when the attack happened in a detached garage about 11:50 p.m. Saturday. 1 W W# _ H9 C! B

Lisa Poole, who lives two doors down from where the teen died, rushed outside when she heard a lot of screaming.

Chris Briggs, who grew up in the same neighbourhood and was friends with McKay, described him as nice guy and avid athlete. * k6 H+ n ~( I- J9 D* b. x
, P2 Z' H) G6 s% k# x“He was a pretty good guy,” he said. “He played hockey with my friends, he was huge into hockey.”
