Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
9 ^$ p% K# H" }9 t* g- r•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals" l9 ~4 m/ c/ z4 h& B0 u6 h) y
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board* Y- O- u. D+ \5 p1 L, x9 R
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation3 e, K# T) u' v5 E* Q, P

) x7 j. R3 f$ r•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements

•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

. g- b' U. l2 R$ q. m•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth

•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff" q( h3 H9 r1 R  u

Programs/Services
' ?  R* L- r( \: }•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
) Y. ~8 _* t7 u. P7 T; o•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
! |$ h/ x$ ?2 I, Y7 F•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders* f4 I5 ]5 V! g$ `4 [$ e
•        set program priorities and directions ( b4 w. \6 D" n
•        identify community and user needs and trends* R  I5 p7 R4 k! f% w8 q
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends, |; K! b& S& P9 i' [
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research& @$ g9 B; a  Z& X! L2 a
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting5 ?# n: g  x. \( I( ^2 p! i
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required) Z! K& f  ]$ t) X" L
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development# b% z6 y& o# e* K4 E4 [
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

External Relations6 i, S% s( ?# s% t
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
% }, e6 K6 J1 T•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
# S! M: A: R2 W4 k•        communicate the value of the organization to the public- b! g) M/ Y; o
•        identify community needs and trends
1 h3 {' g" M/ @9 y4 y4 d•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
9 c/ P3 n. E& B' j•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups4 u. A( r4 o: p% x
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.& s3 u4 {) [$ K& F. {
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff* T0 x' J$ w2 G1 W' r( F

0 e, `5 O  A  [3 tQualifications  ?5 x# y/ S" W+ ?1 [
-        University degree in a related field; / ~  B. |1 J" ~( ^% J5 D4 w
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
$ k% b$ |7 h" h% X, z* ~) _- Y: b-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; , g! s) F+ t; Y( R- @
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 4 ?, n$ a, ]; X5 t" u  x
% n6 l, l; l" r% g
Salary5 D+ @5 ^8 i: n( Z. |& ]
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits : B9 R6 V7 b' ]: t9 \7 S  s
