• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• meet with staff on regular basis

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends
" }) W1 s+ L$ c7 R$ }/ D• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
( K8 P" M, H v7 C• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
) ]) P& d( H. a+ U• communicate the value of the organization to the public

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
3 ~& b* q1 r4 a, ^1 k, j8 U• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
6 l# w7 y# T) x- {' n• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.# ?! S; a* j8 C) W# R" i# {
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff3 u/ _4 ] F" U* T/ @( q' ~& l
/ {; O1 K7 f' a& y4 A5 \Qualifications8 x# u/ M$ C. a1 z, X) N4 a
- University degree in a related field; 5 w& j7 E6 i! L0 V# r
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;$ G$ J+ O U" G4 Z8 P& j# X
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
, F8 N6 D K* `8 {8 p7 G O- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 5 B6 l: P* S1 L4 T) h
