• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
6 b* W: j/ L! H• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
4 ^8 o$ \- H) H: t, `• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• build on knowledge of community resources in program development

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities9 F; F9 K$ b4 z" t1 ?1 O# c) j
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders' [6 w1 T- P/ f+ T
• communicate the value of the organization to the public2 J! S2 E" V& k. p! Z' `
• identify community needs and trends! [5 e7 K7 U# p8 B5 k3 R- f9 D' [8 U$ \
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups& T" S0 B/ M( C$ C% W
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups' j9 t- e7 |8 U" }6 v2 `) o
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.' R. m# e! u7 Z" T2 w( v/ U+ M
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff# m5 R5 y- W9 A3 Z9 }

6 n3 r0 l$ ~$ t- University degree in a related field;
: ?" D8 s9 j+ Y- B; C# k! Z- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;. M: }# r m- t3 Y( ?
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " w3 O N2 f4 a' x
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization + j* }7 N8 }2 Q& D. w4 A0 [, G5 O
" _' c4 U4 G1 [0 U2 m& r( H
Salary, r) U: H9 a% F6 Q+ O
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
