• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

Staff

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• meet with staff on regular basis

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

# c2 u/ e, i) g. t$ @• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

& h3 p0 L+ s" G4 h+ {( X• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
5 y5 w9 g$ m' p; U) W# Z$ G• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
7 H `# a0 k1 L. P9 W+ s• communicate the value of the organization to the public

3 e/ J6 t# G8 o$ n. C. W' V• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups; ?, u; Y5 R4 i" H: _: l
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
& `0 \0 D9 Z. }" G• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

+ g# |$ @' E& G9 P3 A/ @Qualifications
$ o i4 o9 C( O d- R# V( N- University degree in a related field; 8 I# Q( Q8 L, F! @9 X- P- U
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;! Z4 n* V8 A7 ^
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
$ X O+ C( X% v! t3 J( g- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
