, U5 q" M4 J- w# Q1 R) d* LThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
5 h& e5 P9 Q% T9 k eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
/ u9 [; s3 z3 j+ H4 F9 q cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
/ F8 O, W9 j. s3 P9 t# f. S this broad land.
4 L( A+ D3 `5 E8 z4 }* n
1 W0 q' s, ~" M3 ^. V+ z8 V" EWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
  Q" U: ?6 Q& `4 z* }' r contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
: k2 V8 p  W" D( [  n talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
/ }/ I# C8 U0 I8 Y: l" v6 G) L$ H& _. t ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
7 o: y0 s& q8 h  ^/ A6 g* x Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
# ?6 }% D) ~: R9 x3 | lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
$ _: ~+ D- ~! o/ f2 J2 f program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
5 \% p+ E, f9 o comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

; d5 }( [/ J: M- I: l* A" K1 n0 dMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
6 f$ [% B7 Z' R% a% s( \ on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
control.
