烤蛋糕
INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cup sugar
- o: X4 P5 u: @/ u/ K7 d! u• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)
4 A; j+ m# `# \3 l0 W9 p• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour or all purpose flour (former is better)
! h$ c+ G W7 ^• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ; U) j( y4 N9 J2 S
• 4 eggs, well beaten! c9 ^# b r+ u# q& N2 y: g

PREPARATION:: J; p/ n! w: Q1 R; j
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
: z: S7 x2 \) k* M, F& KTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. $ R+ h. r$ r; U2 q; B
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

beating,要用mixer, 一般的$10左右的hand mixer 就可以。烤蛋糕,面包,或做土豆泥等都用得上。/ l$ H, J, K( Y1 f2 e3 B
