• 4 eggs, well beaten6 t. } m3 H$ y, @& t& m
PREPARATION:
& g. V( n! I& ^0 ?; C0 T1 ZBeat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. . A Y8 b0 i! [7 ]8 R8 f# {; K
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. ! A9 S$ [ f% z. N) W# x6 {
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.& r* s. f) m; D0 P

For beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect. |
