• 1 cup sugar

• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)

PREPARATION:/ L7 c2 e1 ]2 V' d+ O8 q
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.

7 X( ?/ V6 s2 M' k9 w, `% J& Y- WBake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.4 x; N! l5 ~8 e1 L h) V( r
