ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
# Z  N$ u# t( D" A3 P' [University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
  _2 r6 Q- j6 Frecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
6 B- `, u& M, Jtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

4 x3 ~+ f9 @9 t7 m& JQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
6 n( c. N* [2 prequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
; w9 P$ Y9 d6 h7 ^0 ~) `: |cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
# _2 |, Q( B' ^) d" g5 V& q! bis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
0 W/ }1 ^; j/ C/ i* Dsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
