ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

6 e3 q% Y2 X! }9 W( Q* J# hstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
  e; }2 |! L$ o6 r$ ~to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
5 r0 V; T/ b. ]( M. \3 Hfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
. g" j5 ?1 D. K/ l7 Drequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
# a5 j2 X! v* p: B' _- O: cis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
) ^" e) f8 z, D& F0 H. [: b3 _accurate and complete research records.

/ e& G; s. A" l  ^! u4 LThis position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
9 S+ v2 r( y- [  h1 E/ L3 asalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
