strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness" F$ M3 A& x5 Z

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
. U Y4 ~7 E* ]* B4 k; Xobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a9 t" X3 [# ]+ x, O" m! w
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification' w! @0 M% ]5 n* C2 ^
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is0 g9 z5 Q: D/ l( z% m6 P" P8 q, B. U
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA& k1 x! U+ S5 Q5 P( o+ ?
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein# [) I: Z+ Y* y
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification( a" J! l7 `/ ~: |1 y$ H
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with/ Q* e) q6 q* u
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
# C# O3 T! Y9 q$ {& n3 W' k2 saccurate and complete research records. * ~/ n* a5 K7 e9 y7 q3 |( ]" z6 ]7 C6 w

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
! p7 B) z4 H% X3 Xsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
