This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for4 r e2 P G# w1 i" ~; e
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials9 D9 m& u7 f% d. h6 u
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different6 a: W0 Y0 |& J
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.& J, s( W2 D6 J- h/ p8 \8 H4 w

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
