Job Description

- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker2 t# \0 P" s p; X7 b. y
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team& A; M9 f2 J( g2 q1 u

- post secondary diploma ) K: D: |' U7 h* J2 N5 `( G8 K
- customer service and office clerical experiences

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community- i+ h6 d7 d4 w* G& b2 U( ?
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
0 A: Q7 \. Y: J- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
$ n5 l; b! ~) ~0 C9 T- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
; P0 I" V; r- C0 {3 f- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
- F) F7 |+ Y4 N9 i5 K) m1 V- update ASSIST website
, X* o, i, O5 r- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre7 e3 i3 k, g( C7 ?: S7 m$ A
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- write quarterly and final reports for ISP! X1 _' c" Q" A
- hold regular meetings with ISP team

- update membership database

Qualifications8 b: l, x* {. G
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
8 P; V" T$ K# A1 H- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 C: Z, E0 A" ?* m5 r3 Z0 X- experience in community work and immigrant services
