Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

( N/ S* b+ q' H' I; J- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker7 _# u" y; t2 B, L" i2 A9 C* g
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
1 ~1 R4 H* l9 P H0 U0 a& O, ^- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
4 V; J w$ X: R! j! c( n) G- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services7 p) M0 W* K3 f+ I. V
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
7 G. I3 S G) m7 c4 k s- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies; H3 x+ B3 k; v! s" p
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 {. H( p% i0 x6 x' B# ^
- update ASSIST website
) W' y1 D0 c1 z G" I. D- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
- e- l) o$ [' }/ s- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services8 u- J9 T& a, h
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
+ W& B) { l0 T) R) f+ R& W, |- write quarterly and final reports for ISP+ R+ c( e; N! t4 d
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
" M' m9 |5 @/ K! A* f- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

* [( z+ D) ^+ G' F# w2 Z5 W( Z- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
/ ^3 s5 _) V" G/ f. I2 z8 H- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education $ S9 k8 \# o# W
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills& }1 m$ s$ r- d3 ?2 o. L
- experience in community work and immigrant services
