Job Description

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma 5 s) l7 B! f0 h! j# Z) L* L# {; K! ^9 V6 @
- customer service and office clerical experiences

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community4 C z: ?1 C' O8 q
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services. j' O8 K6 c, O
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
5 u/ b4 [3 E e4 G# M7 V, P- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies) M5 j$ L$ g7 \
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members# u0 R) }( T/ A" `: F2 y' F
- update ASSIST website4 x0 N' i" Q9 w; U5 t
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 r9 g5 |4 L8 b+ K" B4 y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, `6 O- v. \8 D: i9 n
- assist in writing proposal for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team

7 p: p. d% ?& P' B: K7 i1 V; r- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education / D% C6 {/ Y) z
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills6 _- d( h- Y c# O7 @" U3 `
- experience in community work and immigrant services
