· The Examiner will introduce him/herself and provide proof of identification, when requested. h8 y' B) _: J

and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road
9 y, q) ^* b( Z& T) L' Etests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the

) o4 Y) z% m! b9 z# }, P· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the8 y: n8 z) q! V; E* M
weather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk).
" M2 u# S" A% e; O· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid* n6 b: J6 O2 h6 e- B( v, @9 {. t
insurance and registration) and have enough fuel for at least one hour of driving.

The Examiner will do a vehicle check with you. You will be in the driver’s seat and the examiner will ask you to' G! j3 ?- r* p
assist in checking the signal and brake lights, horn, brakes, and steering. You will be asked to describe and: q+ A5 G( O5 m( n6 ^ F3 J8 i$ I
demonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield o. ~: q0 f2 H. Y* _7 G
wipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions+ Z( ]- K1 x; U/ m( E% N

· You will be given ample instruction in advance for each manoeuvre and activity.

· When the road test is finished, the Examiner will highlight the areas you performed well, as well as

Test Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any4 Q# G3 n/ N6 S7 F. z4 b* Y1 _
Alberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this
