Duties
# c6 g& Q! H" Y( f: _# P& JWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele Z* C9 [- O! b" f. R
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management" w6 ~; Z, b/ W$ U! p/ B
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers! Z+ o. W2 ]6 Q
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support! p0 L) \$ Q7 o v6 e; H
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
; s3 F. Z, D+ s3 h( U* O* I- WEdits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System: C1 E4 U% t! D/ h
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
+ c* g1 `) ] w4 Q+ p; K9 LDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS9 ?1 b: `8 @9 u ^% H
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases1 G0 H! _4 s3 ~) y6 e& u3 d
Qualifications
( v) [6 M0 Z+ G( W( tTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program# c! T9 d" p# @! j* x- Q7 B+ m
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
; c9 W* g+ q o; U: H1 C2 v' UMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations/ U& Y; C7 z1 s2 c( _3 Y$ T* A& U
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
