亚省石油及天然气能源业正抨击省府，在最近推动的开採权改革措施，並不足以提高本省竞爭力。

能源业界人士指出，目前，亚省在开採业方面的投资吸引力，远低於卑诗省和沙省等邻近西岸省份。

他们表示，省府最新修订法例，旨在协助能源公司进行石油和天然气深层钻探工程，但却未能收到明显的果效。亚省能源钻探活动已经滑落至过去15年来最低水平。
