Enhanced Respite Program

The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is' t- f9 o( H4 q- k, i- m, s
recruiting for community support workers in the
2 P0 F$ z" n) L+ NCoordinated Enhanced Respite program at a variety of
$ K1 F \" \% ^6 f0 y9 ]& `locations in the city.
$ z+ @# v" ]& J$ g) T) F8 JStaff would provide respite care to parents or primary
2 M3 {& O6 q3 \- Ocare givers of children with moderate to severe physical
( k; h& k7 N0 b4 P8 v: Z+ Q( ]9 E& Yor cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three0 u+ v' o9 X$ P+ X! S" x$ n8 n
(3) or more hours per day worked. During the school( ^/ j; I2 M6 o4 @! }4 q
year, as the children are in school during the day, the/ V5 r3 L! x- W, O
bulk of the hours available will be late afternoons and
6 X+ F$ z* V; a" Z1 Mevenings or on weekends.1 b) \! b& `- C" j, x/ o
However, during the summer months, there will be

Qualifications:
- M F' i. [. s) I; d. a• a minimum of six months experience in working
' [! W% U2 [9 S( R3 `with children with mental and/or physical" B! O/ E; g! H+ h J
disabilities (this could include volunteer work)
( q) j7 Q* t( U0 i4 N• the ability to support the clients with all aspects+ R. p2 y* G0 f9 F! f, H# w

• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
