4 k' g9 D' F* Y' o * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program3 O" |+ f7 O3 Y! y, y; e, K
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
6 L$ A( j$ k8 | * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes$ ^6 L4 G& h( z8 h9 A
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat# K5 H% I+ G" Z4 d( I
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders' w3 ~/ t. `0 A9 Y! M3 h7 Q ~) y* }
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
( n2 D' ^' |! o+ e * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
% h# _; q/ H+ F! d * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director8 l p5 z8 t. n6 ^5 p
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning4 j. Z- |! M. W+ Q: |/ S
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials& q `5 q+ ~- U% ` |
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies$ q, B6 J, V+ I2 a

$ V6 T0 ]% _: ?9 T, } * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
( v. @2 v# y# @& v# H$ a( t6 `4 F6 [ * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth2 U t2 O/ O: p( Z: A5 R
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
. W0 T5 w; n9 u) A * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
9 i/ w6 r8 b& I% a. l1 ~ * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
, @6 s2 e- l i; ~8 D6 q1 k* s0 b * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
