4 k' g9 D' F* Y' o    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
6 L$ A( j$ k8 |    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
( n2 D' ^' |! o+ e    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
% h# _; q/ H+ F! d    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
' g( l4 n/ `! r* K$ b    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

9 y- U  T/ X! M! GQualifications

$ V6 T0 ]% _: ?9 T, }    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
( v. @2 v# y# @& v# H$ a( t6 `4 F6 [    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
. W0 T5 w; n9 u) A    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
9 i/ w6 r8 b& I% a. l1 ~    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
, @6 s2 e- l  i; ~8 D6 q1 k* s0 b    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
" w! e$ H) w$ e" x. S- }0 z, m) J2 S    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
