* d& ^: | g! c1 b * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program5 t a' |9 E. B! l" S
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities6 Z# R0 w( p1 n1 _" Y* H5 b
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
! C, O! Z1 w0 N3 T4 w% A * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat, @3 `* o: Q% w+ y5 T
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
o) [5 G, ~' E2 a7 w- ?3 [ * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies/ ~0 B; C" i/ D

* X/ n2 K4 a/ W& |5 S* s* n/ J, T * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
* C B, E! k$ q: c, w, U9 c; ` * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth- e$ a4 h0 D4 u
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset z* p# w' S6 |1 o" [* h
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies' E. r9 P/ q* ?. o3 O8 x+ n
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills, @5 `! z7 h* N3 j- _# S+ _
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
# u6 h/ h. Q4 V) V * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)( s5 R0 f# x8 l7 G
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
