从toronto到edmonton找millwright工作

经济寒冬来临，又被laid off，记不清这是第几次了，非常心灰意冷。。。，我干的是机械维修millwright，精通液压气动系统，但安省现在这方面的工作很少，发简历基本没有回音，虽然现在似乎去西部也是勉强末班车，但看网上工作机会还是比toronto多些，发简历也有回音，但可能因为人不在本地，雇主没有太大兴趣，决定去edmonton转一趟
5 f( Z* y4 T0 X* a男怕入错行，真是不假，工作没有了，只能再次背井离乡，前路茫茫。。。请问大侠们，在当地找工除了正常发简历外，挨家挨户敲agency的门有戏吗？有没有行业协会之类的东西？（我有3年左右的本地经验）
