Can anyone has any experience to own and drive a Hybrid vehicle, is it as good as it claim ?

From 2009 camry's catalog, hybrid model weight extra 331 lbs than LE model, that equals to the weight of 2 adlut,  unless they can invent or put solar panel on roof top or invent  lighter, more efficent battery, even better if cost less to repalce, otherwise it seem not a good idea to get one,

I overlooked that Nissan has a hybrid Altima as 2009 model, sorry for that.

From what I read, the battery of Camry 's hybrid system is to store energy generated by braking system, wonder why they don't design it to be charged by ac plug-in while vehicle is parked inside a garage ?
# p0 H% m2 {8 m: X9 k# PIf so, I should be able to select to use electric power for a short distance drive, say from Southgate mall to Walmart at south common, since traffic is always heavy, can not go fast.
