Definition of Restricted Dog: U* Y! Y3 ]+ q+ K" v7 u% v
The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:
A: k8 @" j( q4 s4 E
; V) r; A" L( r* K- G TThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw
! w" F5 I7 W) a; E1 s! b7 D0 z2 ^That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw
# y' A; \9 @- ^; X J7 }6 `5 _That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act - g- k/ B$ f/ ^4 `$ n& \/ p( x8 R, f
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club

Note: The restricted dog definition does NOT include any dog that is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Canadian Kennel Club as a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier.
