A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.7 S% Y. f$ A7 b' [3 s1 H3 ^ ]8 y
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and8 r+ W& U+ Y9 P: ~7 v
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Standard Child Care First Aid, b4 J6 V4 L* C$ W+ o, {- q; A
• WHMIS
1 y0 H7 F3 N/ i5 f; h5 n' B• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
: c# V1 V! `. [' t5 n1 Y$ `6 v• Components to improve communication skills. |; b6 ^$ M u3 J2 u# Z, {8 L0 Q0 \( J
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search7 X1 }1 x/ q/ z
• Practicum Placements

• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen

• have a Social Insurance Number7 V3 L$ z: s% W* \/ H/ I+ ?
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check- z# c5 N+ d$ v" j3 x& p
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
7 @2 |/ R9 I, w7 @# \7 F; L• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet" A# H1 l7 P' \- R, t+ Q+ Y( ]( ~5 l1 z
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
! k$ @, M' q$ I' ^" R4 H7 x. w7 M• be unemployed or underemployed.
