- W+ x) }% S7 P# K0 m  A# m# ]Responsibilities - Human Resources Management: supervise a qualified counselling team/oversee their peer supervision system; manage hiring, training & supervision of department staff, volunteers & student interns; provide training opportunities to department staff; supervise/evaluation department staff.* J6 u! C1 M! |. I$ j, W
" E- _& r- B( A: w
PLUS: ensure adequate levels of staffing are maintained, in order to meet requirements for delivery of services; conduct regular staff meetings; ensure proper flow and documentation of information; ensure Human Resources Policies & Procedures are met and followed.( y  I7 t; V  W2 L$ h( {

Responsibilities - Finance & Administration: develop and implement annual goals and program objectives; monitor annual department budgets; review monthly financial statement and account for variances; prepare annual applications and budget proposals for funders in collaboration with the Fund Development Manager; ensure program standards and procedures reflect the YWCA's and funders' requirements.

- z; i  r! }. ~  s- i& |PLUS: submit monthly, semi-annual/annual reports to funders, as required; ensure proper & complete documentation is maintained for all clients, staff and program files; prepare a monthly departmental report for the E.D.; generate and manage a feedback system/databases to obtain data on client service.

Community Relations and Advocacy: create and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders; promote the Counselling Centre's programs and services.( }* ]' Q0 u9 E1 r( ?$ I" k+ \

* n& v6 ^2 f/ H8 |+ GQualifications: at least 5 years successful experience at a senior management level with a nonprofit agency; post-secondary education in Psychology or a related field; extensive knowledge of the counselling process; must have a working knowledge of the legal issues involved in counselling, especially those relating to the area of family violence. 4 }2 o2 {- J7 v. E7 ^

In addition: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experienced in budgeting, program delivery, and supervising staff; ability to interact in a positive manner with a diverse population; experience and proficiency in MS Office; equivalences will be considered.
