* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications, G1 W( [. E6 ~0 Y/ z1 O( a
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis+ U% D o$ h s5 M0 g
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* Y/ T; c8 s E9 }$ o' O5 Y * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students - t8 o7 Y" }8 F" U) F% S9 F
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies+ V8 F q( |6 o: {. G
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
