Duties' e( r+ s! P) c6 U4 c5 r$ i

* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications& Q I3 w( _- S7 g; ^" m9 n
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis: l# x' y: V! ~) _0 r4 E; ^
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
; u9 g; `' A7 o9 y * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students , q: z, S' C6 m8 a) Y/ @$ e
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies0 z P$ G$ N; i& _( _5 ]/ [# {
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
