* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications/ {: A. @$ T8 g& r, |+ R: p
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
3 b4 I5 Y2 b6 O& J' ] Y * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
# K2 ~' @/ w1 u6 y * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students , E$ N( U( |% n$ \$ s& l9 h) l
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
