0 S1 E4 _( q/ e. F. W8 q1 T# Y * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
/ F) I/ s; J1 ] ~. w7 |$ j * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
1 L; p( n( U- r) y! Y$ w/ K * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
9 ~+ p9 p9 F4 \" f * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
" `* O; z* q- `0 i * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies! * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
