Duties

0 S1 E4 _( q/ e. F. W8 q1 T# Y    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
/ F) I/ s; J1 ]  ~. w7 |$ j    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
1 L; p( n( U- r) y! Y$ w/ K    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
9 ~+ p9 p9 F4 \" f    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
" `* O; z* q- `0 i    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

Qualifications

* \6 R% m. w# h8 T" S5 m) i    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

8 C- d# T4 {, C3 e6 d* [好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
- C  ?' A% ?! r* {) }8 P& V- mwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

- p$ `+ c3 {0 y8 D& v5 Sti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
