* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
5 l7 W" l# R0 ]! i. Y) X1 _/ f * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
1 I+ L% C3 c! I+ e7 _' s' h) O# g * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance5 i0 Q, M: C: m) i4 F
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 1 Z# p, O# j9 \4 T: @0 h. E Q. g
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies# m% P3 _' l* s( E
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
( f' ?2 _ x% h: G * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications
