Abstract: Mill Woods Family Resource Centre Society offers a long-term Home Visitation Program that provides weekly in-home support to families with children under the age of 5 and those with pre-natal needs. The Coordinator will be responsible for: day to day operation of program; supervision of 4 Family Home Visitors; and provision of some frontline service.! D* @1 H5 w3 S5 R# C) q
t+ [: d* V5 L% R2 }( C1 k
Desired education, experience/skills: a minimum of a 4 year degree in a related human services field; administrative & supervisory experience/working in partnership with colleagues & other service providers; 3 years experience working with families/children, including those who are marginalized and/or culturally diverse; solid knowledge of child development and family dynamics; knowledge in maternal and infant health and knowledge in prevention of child abuse and neglect.4 A5 m& q1 F0 b& X# w
1 Z t, i7 m N& X; CIn addition: experience providing support to families in their homes is desired; familiar with community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals; Team player; computer literate; proficient verbal/written English; experience parenting own children an asset., D* G/ V& q" Q( V) S

PLUS: Valid Police & Alberta Children's Services Intervention Check; willing to work flexible schedule - daytime, evenings and weekends; access to a reliable vehicle; available for one-time travel to the United States for training.
